Practicing on the Golf Course


Please note that practice on the Golf Course is only allowed in the following areas;

  • Practice fairway (hitting from bottom to top)
  • Practice green (located on bend of 17th hole)
  • Practice Nets
  • 9th green and the area around the 9th green in non-competition times (chipping and putting only, NO PITCHING, and you must not interfere with players on the course play)
Before you go out to practice please see the pro-shop first and let them know what you are doing.


Practicing during completion

BEFORE a ROUND (Rule 7-1)

  • Before a round on any day of a STROKE PLAY competition (stableford, par, bogey are forms of stroke play) a competitor MUST NOT practice on the competition course, or test the surface of any putting green on the course by rolling a ball or roughening or scraping the surface.
  • In MATCH PLAY, it is OK to practice before the round on the competition course on the day of play for any match play competition.
