Wet Weather Policy

Hurstville Golf Club Wet Weather Policy.

Following the recent spate of wet weather and some confusion about competitions, the Match Committee, in consultation with Golf NSW, has formulated the following policy.

On days when major competitions such as monthly medals, championships or qualifying rounds are scheduled and the committee considers the course too wet or most bunkers are out of play the competition of the day will be changed to a single stableford. A competition will be processed and scores sent through to Golflink as long as there are 8 completed rounds for the men’s comp or three completed rounds for the women’s comp. The decision will be made prior to the first group teeing off, unless exceptional circumstances, such as lightning or flooded greens necessitate cancellation during the round.

“Tee up through the green” is a decision of the course superintendent (green keeper) and on days when this in force two strokes will be deducted from the course rating.
